“efflux” is the third solo album by f:rar (Melih Sarıgöl / FezayaFirar). All the pieces are improvised sound structures created on modular synthesizer system over a timespan of one year.
The album deals with the concept of distortion:
distortion due to efflux (like nuclear fallout) that transforms the rhythmic structures to attain an amorph/acyclic character;
distortion of noise and glitch elements in contrast with the quiet ambient music in the background.
The combination can be visualised like sound sculptures using electrons as material in front of a black background.
